<image:caption>Ooh! THE ATTACK OF THE ROBOT LIBRARIANS is a Times Best Book of the Summer! This is what they said: ‘It is impossible not to imagine how much this author duo must have made each other laugh in writing the sequel to The Underpants of Chaos… full of good jokes.’ The Times, Best Books of the Summer Some great reviews for UNDERPANTS OF CHAOS: ‘the first in a super-funny news series from two bestselling authors.’ Sunday Express ‘With thrills and spills, this cracking adventure is a hoot.’ Daily Mirror ‘Hilarious and heartfelt’ National Geographic The Express described GRETA AND THE GHOST HUNTERS like this: ‘Hilarious, fast-paced and full of heart, adults will enjoy this as much as their children.' That was nice of them. UMA AND THE ANSWER TO ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING ‘Funny and fresh.. This is truly cheering entertainment’ The Sunday Times, Book of the Year ‘This fast-paced adventure is full of warmth and wit.’ Sunday Express ‘A hilarious story with a poignant message that some questions are more difficult to answer than others.’ Booktrust ‘Utterly brilliant. The funniest book of the year.’ Eoin Colfer, author of Artemis Fowl “Hilarious and full of heart – I whipped through this cracking adventure with its loveable quirky characters. He also nails it on the heart stakes.” Andy Shepherd, author of The Boy Who Grew Dragons series ‘A brilliantly funny story with real heart. I loved it!' Cat Doyle ‘An action-packed adventure with a heartfelt emotional journey... hilarious… it’s really the emotional journey that Uma and her dad take that is the backbone of this excellent story, which acknowledges that children today may find it much easier to find the answer to absolutely everything than they ever have – but there are some questions which are still very difficult to answer.’ Booktrust “An utterly brilliant adventure, full of heart and hilarity. I loved it.” Anna Fargher, author of The Umbrella Mouse “Another fantastically funny and yet heartfelt book.” L. D. Lapinski, author of The Strangeworlds Detective Agency. “Original, hilarious, and delightfully madcap” Katie Tsang “Sam Copeland is brilliant.. I loved everything about it.... hilarious and heartfelt.” Sibeal Pounder “a heart-breaking, belly-tickling, eyebrow-terrifying book” Jack Meggitt-Phillips, author of Bethany and the Beast ‘A poignant yet hilarious tale, I loved it.’ Steven Lenton “I loved it, so funny and sweet and sad.” Holly Webb “This book will not only have you and your class crying with laughter, but more importantly will help to instil a real love of reading” Teach Primary “Brilliant. Uma’s story is funny, touching and packed full of the things children love.” Jenny McLachlan, author of The Land of Roar. ‘Wickedly funny, brilliantly silly and really rather clever’ Amy Sparkes “A rollercoaster ride of a story that'll make you laugh and cry.” Aisha Bushby “Brimming with humour.. the story is also deeply poignant.. Delightfully silly and utterly heartfelt.. Comedy is hard to do right, but Copeland’s enviable timing and knack for properly laugh-out-loud jokes set this apart. Charlie’s experiences in animal form are comedy gold… it is just genius. A real delight and deserves to be huge.” The Bookseller, Books of the Month “an adventure of fantastical proportions.. a comic novel which fans of Kid Normal will flock to” The Irish Times “A great example of a kids' book with lots of humour.” The Sun “Sam Copeland’s debut is brilliant, laugh-out-loud funny and genuinely moving. However, Charlie Changes into a Chicken is not just a joyous read, through its relentlessly hilarious narrative it ingeniously communicates an important message for children who struggle with anxiety or are confronted by difficulties in their life. A great debut is one that you feel must have always existed, and this is one of those books. Every school library needs to have multiple copies and may I recommend it to every single parent out there.” M. G. Leonard, author of Beetle Boy “Fresh and funny - this reads like a modern-day Dahl.” Christopher Edge, author of The Infinite Lives of Maisie Day ‘A life-affirming read… heartwarming and hilarious, this book will bring you so much joy.” Booktrust “This is a glorious debut from an exciting new voice in children's comedy fiction. Sam Copeland WILL turn into a megastar on the strength of this first outing. Cleverly daft storytelling at its very, very best.” Maz Evans, author of Who Let The Gods Out ‘Very funny indeed.’ – Robin Stevens, author of Murder Most Unladylike series “Wonderfully heart-warming and absolutely hilarious.” – Catherine Doyle, author of The Storm Keeper’s Island “So good you’ll CLUCK with laughter!” Pamela Butchart “Gloriously silly, gleefully naughty, totally entertaining. So good, in fact, that I HAD to finish it once my son was asleep!” Michelle Harrison, author of A Pinch of Magic “Charlie Changes Into a Chicken is a gloriously fun, madcap adventure with a celebration of friendship at its heart." Anna James, author of Pages & Co: Tilly and the Book Wanderers “Hysterically funny!” – Jeremy Strong “Full of heart and humour, wit and wisdom, and rivers of rhino poo.” – Sophie Anderson, author of The House with Chicken Legs “A heart-warming story that has led to comparisons with such celebrated authors as David Walliams and David Solomons. But this is no ordinary children's story. … (it) doesn't just entertain his readers but can actually help them to deal with their anxieties.” The Irish Examiner “In the words of Jean-Claude the pigeon... I am in love with this most delicious, beautiful and delectable book and I wish to fly away with it!” Laura Ellen Anderson, author of the Amelia Fang series “A clever and hilarious story with a hero you'll love… I'm already looking forward to the next one” Parents In Touch “Laugh-out-loud funny, with an important underlying message on how to cope with anxiety.” Abie Longstaff “A side-splitting debut… fantastically ridiculous… will have readers snorting with giggles.” Press Association Note to any authors or reviewers who haven’t given me a lovely review yet: I have taken all your names down. <image:title>WHO IS SAM COPELAND? - SURPRISE!!!</image:title>
<image:caption>WHO AM I? Big question. Who are you? Who are any of us? Can any of us answer that? One thing’s for certain: I’m about to talk about myself in the 3rd person… Sam Copeland is an author. He is from Manchester and now lives in London with two smelly cats, three smelly children and one relatively clean-smelling wife. He works as a chicken whisperer, travelling the world using his unique gift to tame wild chickens. Charlie Changes Into a Chicken is his first book. It was followed by the sequel Charlie Turns Into a T-Rex, and the third in the series - Charlie Morphs into a Mammoth - which was published in February 2020. His latest book Uma and the Answer to Absolutely Everything was released in January 2021. He has more books to come in 2022, including Greta and the Ghost Hunters in January 2022 and a joint novel with top author Jenny Pearson. Despite numerous legal threats, he is refusing to stop writing. SERIOUS BIT: he is also a literary agent and director at Rogers, Coleridge and White and you can find out about that part of him by clicking here. You can follow him on Twitter here and on Instagram here. You can go to his Facebook page here. You can even go to his Goodreads page here. OK, that’s the last time I talk about myself in the 3rd person. It’s weird.</image:caption>

<image:caption>CHARLIE CHANGES INTO A CHICKEN is out NOW from Puffin (Penguin Random House, and in 20 other countries!). A sequel will be published August 2019, with a third in the series coming early 2020. So what’s it about then? Charlie McGuffin tries to be an optimist, but in reality he's a bit of a worrier. Some of the things Charlie is worried about: · His brother (who is in hospital) · Their very panicked parents · Unwanted attention from the school bully · The fact that he's started turning into animals! Even though every kid wants a superhero power, Charlie isn't keen on turning into a pigeon in the middle of the school play. But what happens if he does? Will he get sent away for Science to deal with? Will his parents crack under the extra stress? With the help of his three best friends, Charlie needs to find a way of dealing with his crazy new power - and fast! Sounds great, huh? Well why not click the ‘Where To Buy’ tab above? There’s no reason why not. Unless your mouse has just broken. In that very particular unfortunate set of circumstances, go to your nearest mouse-purveyor and buy a mouse, and when you get back then click the ‘Where to buy’ tab. You really have no excuse.</image:caption>

<image:title>Charlie Turns Into a T-rex</image:title>
<image:caption>It’s the sequel to the bestselling CHARLIE CHANGES INTO A CHICKEN! Finally! The book that some people have been waiting for! When dad's business takes a sudden turn for the worse, the McGuffin family face the terrible prospect of having to sell their house and move in with Aunt Brenda and her seventeen cats (and wooden leg). Only Charlie and best friends Flora, Mohsen and Wogan can save the day. If they can break into the fortress-like offices of Van Der Gruyne Industries and recover the McGuffins' stolen gold, maybe Charlie won't have to move away after all… Trouble is, the pressure is getting to Charlie, making it harder for him to control when he changes into an animal - and harder still to change back. Can Charlie's friends help him master his powers once and for all, or will he end up stuck as a pigeon forever . . . ? Sounds good, huh? What’s that? You want to buy it? I really don’t blame you. I’d buy it too if I hadn’t written it. But I wrote it so I know what happens. It’s been shortlisted for the Waterstones Children’s Books Prize, and longlisted for the Blue Peter Prize and the Branford Boase Prize, and was a Book of the Year in The Guardian and the Telegraph. <image:caption>There is a third book in the bestselling CHARLIE series, coming in February 2020. And it’s called…… CHARLIE MORPHS INTO A MAMMOTH! HOW EXCITING! WHAT DO YOU MEAN IT’S A RUBBISH TITLE?! Well, if you think you can do better - email me on samcopelandauthor@gmail.com Who knows - I might use it for Book 4, IF that happens… And here’s a bit about CHARLIE MORPHS INTO A MAMMOTH…: Charlie McGuffin is an actual superhero. He's gained control over his wacky ability to change into animals - he's even able to use it to turn the tables on school bully Dylan. But there are some things Charlie can't control, like the arguments his parents keep having (which are making him more worried than ever) or the mysterious animal disappearances spreading through town (which might be connected to Charlie himself). Can Charlie unravel the mystery of the pet-nappings before his biggest secret is revealed to the world...? Sounds good, huh? YOU BET IT IS. So why not buy it? THERE’S ABSOLUTELY NO REASON WHY NOT TO BUY IT. Unless you hated the first two books. In which case, maybe give this a miss? <image:title>ATTACK OF THE ROBOT LIBRARIANS - Maket stand out</image:title>
<image:caption>‘It is impossible not to imagine how much this author duo must have made each other laugh in writing the sequel to The Underpants of Chaos. The spy-detectives Agatha Topps and Lenny Tuchus return to save their primary school from robot owl librarians who prohibit any fun and are involved in a criminal plot to be powered by pedalling children. It may sound complicated, but it’s full of good jokes.’ The Times, Best Books of the Summer Tuchus and Topps are back! OK, yes, some people might say I was too lazy to write another whole book by myself so that’s why I wrote a sequel to The Underpants of Chaos with co-author Jenny Pearson. But whatever the reason, we are off back to Little Strangehaven Primary School! It's a new year at Little Strangehaven Primary but things are just as weird as last term . . . Who put laser-eyed robot librarians in charge of class discipline? What's with the new pedal-powered desks? And what does it all have to do with the mysterious goings-on in the cellar? Spy-detectives Tuchus and Topps reckon it's got to be something to do with Pamela Stranglebum and her sinister company, Minerva Industries. With the help of their Scottish gargoyle chum Gregor, can Lenny and Agatha uncover the truth before it's too late . . .?</image:caption>
